There is not yet a history to commemorate...



 

...only a future to hope for


In Trafalgar Square with this work on the fourth plinth, Elmgreen & Dragset encourage us to contemplate the everday battles of growing up, Powerless Structures, fig. 101.

I stood in front of this work thinking about my children's future lives. Everyday life is where it's really at. It's worth noticing it, and once in a while, celebrating it.
